Manly Lightning Champion 2010!

Congratulations to Mark deGroen for winning the Manly Lightning Championships this year with an impressive score of 8 out of 9! Georg Pfefferle and Jozsef Gonda came joined second with 6.5 points. Thanks everyone for making this a fun evening!

Allan McGregor vs. Manly - 5 1/2 - 3 1/2

We opened our season yesterday with the traditional simul by our Club Champion, Allan McGregor. Last year he played against 8 (and won 9 games), this year he took the challenge to play a very strong field of 9 players. Congratulations to Jonathan Adams, Norman Greenwood and Martin van Elmpt for winning their game, Michael Anderson managing a draw, and of course to Allan for 5 wins against Chris Dimock, Steve Vegh, Tom Accola, Michael Dacic and Ludwig Wolf and the draw against Michael.
